LPL 2024 Points Table: The first match of the LPL 2024, scheduled for July 1, will feature Kandy Falcons taking on Dambulla Sixers at Pallekele International Cricket Stadium.
In total, the five teams—Colombo Strikers, Dambulla Sixers, Galle Titans, Jaffna Kings, and Kandy Falcons—will compete in 24 matches. Each team will play against the others twice in the round-robin stage, with the top four teams advancing to the playoffs.
A new rule, called the “Power Blast Over,” has been introduced this year. This rule grants an extra two powerplay overs during the death overs of each inning.

LPL 2024 Points Table Rules
During the league stage, teams earn points based on match outcomes as follows:
- Win: 2 points
- No Result/Abandoned Match: 1 point each
- Loss: 0 points
In the event of a tie in the points table, the following criteria will determine team standings:
- Higher number of points.
- Higher number of wins.
- Better net run rate (NRR).
- Lower bowling strike rate.
- Head-to-head results.
