New Zealand is aiming for its second title, while India has a chance to secure its third (second outright) after sharing the trophy with Sri Lanka in 2002 and winning it in 2013. Rohit Sharma’s team is playing its third consecutive final after losing to Pakistan in 2017. They are also eyeing back-to-back ICC titles after winning the 2024 T20 World Cup. The International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced a total prize fund of $6.9 million (about INR 60.06 crore) for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, which is a 53% increase from the 2017 edition.

Every team that took part in the tournament will receive $125,000 (around INR 1.08 crore). In addition, teams earned $34,000 (about INR 2.95 crore) for each group stage win. New Zealand won two matches, earning them $68,000 (around INR 59 lakhs), while India won all three, securing $102,000 (approximately INR 88 lakhs).

The winner of the India vs. New Zealand final will take home $2.24 million (around INR 19.49 crore), while the runner-up will get $1.12 million (around INR 9.74 crore). If India wins, they will earn a total of $2.46 million (about INR 21.4 crore), while a New Zealand victory would bring them $2.43 million (approximately INR 21.1 crore). If India finishes as the runner-up, they will get $1.34 million (around INR 11.6 crore), and New Zealand will receive $1.31 million (about INR 11.4 crore) if they lose the final.
