Australia has won all four of their Group A matches in the ICC Womenโs T20 World Cup 2024. The tournament is now moving into its final stage, with the top four teams โ two from each group โ getting ready for the knockout rounds.
In the tournament, 10 teams were split into two groups of five. Each team played four matches. The top two teams from each group have made it to the semi-finals.
The first semi-final will take place on Thursday, October 17, in Dubai, where defending champions Australia will compete. The second semi-final, featuring New Zealand, is set for Friday, October 18, in Sharjah. The grand final will be held on October 20 in Dubai.

1. Australia Women Cricket Team
The Australian womenโs cricket team just can’t stop winning in ICC tournaments. Even with their new captain, Alyssa Healy, they have kept up the winning streak that was started under former captain Meg Lanning.
In Group A, Australia won all four of their matches. They beat Sri Lanka by six wickets, New Zealand by 60 runs, Pakistan by nine wickets, and India by nine runs.
However, there are some injury worries for Australia as they head into the semi-finals. Captain Healy missed the game against India, and fast bowler Tayla Vlaeminck is out for the rest of the tournament.
Despite these setbacks, Australia, who have won the last three ICC Womenโs T20 World Cups, are still the favorites to win another trophy.
2. New Zealand Women Cricket Team
New Zealand was the second team from Group A to secure a spot in the semi-finals. They started their journey with a strong win, beating India by 58 runs. But they faced a challenge when they lost to Australia by 60 runs.
Despite that loss, the Black Ferns quickly recovered. They won two matches in a row, defeating Sri Lanka by eight wickets and Pakistan by 54 runs. With these victories, New Zealand made their way into the semi-finals of the ICC Womenโs T20 World Cup 2024.
